TL/DR, Great bag, fits my stuff, sucks to zip shut.
I really want to love this bag. I have several other messenger bags that I own, but none of them are "tech" focused like this one is with the pockets and organization, the screen safe interior, and the overall thoughtful design and high quality materials.
The place where this bag struggles is the lack of flex and stretch when closing it. I daily drive a 15.6" Dell Precision 5680, and boy is it a snuuuuug fit. I have to use an almost uncomfortable amount of pressure to push the laptop in. Once it's in all the way, it does zip close just fine, however you also have to put the laptop in first with the other compartment opened all the way if you have any items in there. There's not enough give if you have the "stuff" compartment packed with your items to push at least my laptop into it. Maybe if you had a thinner laptop it would be easier.
The secondary section of the bag (I call it the "stuff" section) is excellently designed and I'm able to fit my laptop charger, a small-ish USB hub, a small mouse, a 20kmah battery and a spare usb-c cable. The pockets are nice and the MOLLE like webbing works great for containing cables. My issue is that with this packed in there, zipping the compartment closed requires you to push it down around the edges as you go, and there's so little space that you end up Tetris-ing the placement of all you items because there isn't enough interior width space to have items take up the same spot on both sides.
An upside to how unbelievably tight of a fit everything is, there's absolutely zero items loose or able to bounce around inside. Nothing is going to shift or come loose, so I suppose that's nice.
Some things I love about this bag! The materials are top notch. There's not a single spot that doesn't feel premium. The "stuff" part of the bag unzipping completely such that you can open it flat is awesome. Makes it so easy to pack and unpack the bag with all your stuff. The shoulder strap is one of the most comfortable and well padded straps I've ever used. The way the strap clips (? Not sure what they're called) are mounted in below the top of the bag and slightly recessed into the pocket instead of on the top of the bag is a great touch and adds to the ergonomics. Also having it mounted right at that outer pocket is great since you can easily stuff the strap into said pocket and use just the carry handle. I find this very helpful when I'm doing a bunch of short distance moving of the bag and not having to constantly use the strap is nice.
If they ever make a V2 of this bag that gives it more flex and stretch for zipping it closed, I'll probably buy it immediately. I'm not trying to fit an Ohio Class submarine in this bag, I just want to be able to close it without fighting it. I don't feel like I'm trying to pack too much stuff, and the fact that I am able to close it with what I have shows it's fully functional, but it could be just a liiiittle bit better.
