Ok, so maybe that is exaggerating a little. But is really is a great product, extremely comfortable and was relatively easy to install. The water comes out a good comfortable temperature and the customizable options are great. It's also relatively easy to clean.
I am just dinging it a few points as it was difficult to determine, even thought I measured, what size to get and I wound up getting the wrong size, so while it fits on the toilet, it's not a perfect fit and it's rim goes a bit further than the size of the bowl.
The other nitpick is that I wish the power cable went out backwards and not to the side.
Takes some getting used to and you need to make sure that your toilet will fit it but it works great. No complaints once it got installed and working.
I had very high expectations, since LTT products take a long time to drisign and get as perfect of a product as possible. And it may very well be the best bidet toilet seat attachment out there. It seems to match features with even the more expensive ones that I have found researching online. I am not intending this review to be negative, but I think the LTT guys would appreciate an honest feedback.
Maybe my high expectations are why I am so disappointed. These are the big things that I felt fell short of my expecations. I haven't tried any of the other options on the Market, so these problems could very well be present in all other options.
1) Water volume: The pressure is good, but it feels like a very small stream of water. It certainly gets most of the mess off, but the full cycle doesn't leave me clean. TP is not an option, it is a neccessity. I have to move around on the seat to get coverage. I've only ever used a stand alone bidet before, but the water from it was easily 10 times the volume. I was much cleaner after using it. Maybe that's not a fair comparison.
2) The dryer is also not very powerful. I cna barely feel the air. It does get me a little dryer than I was.
3) The control arm is placed in a terrible place. Looking at the other options on the market, this is common placement, but many have a remote. The arm is placed so that it is beneath and behind me when sitting on the seat. I have to slide off the side of the seat to crane my head around and see under and behind me. The buttons have small symbols that are hard to read from that far away. I'm not young, so it's hard to read. I have to basically get off the seat to see what the buttons are, which makes them not work anymore (you have to be seated for the buttons to function). That could be mitigated if the buttons were shaped or had more tactile differntiation. They are slightly raised soft bumps, so I have to memorize the positions of some of the buttons, then count bumps as best as I can, hoping I remembered right and didn't miss one. It is not a user friendly proposition. It would be much better if the arm could be moved and mounted somewhere where it could be seen to select the functions you want.
Other Notes:
* Installation was great. Easy to install.
* slanted seat is not favorable, but not terrible. Maybe just need to get used to it.
* would love alternate colors for LED. red for night vision preservation, for instance.
Let me preface by saying that you have to check your current setup before knowing if it will work for you.
1. You need power close to your toilet, preferably on the right side (facing the toilet)
2. You need to know the size of your toilet. Check the size guides and measure. There are some adjustments you can make, but even for ours (short) it was almost too big for our toilet.
With those out of the way, as long as you are willing to follow the instructions and maybe have to update some pipes (we did, and it was a good thing regardless) this thing works!
I think it is a testament that now going to other toilets because we can't hold it has become "I feel like a savage". Our privilege was definitely showing. It is so worth it though. I personally believe strongly that every house should have these... at least the base model and if you have the setup for it and the money, I feel like it wasn't money down the drain. My wife even asked if we moved if we could take it with us. I had to tell her it just depended on the setup of the new place and if we were willing to make updates if it didn't have electric where we needed it. So I guess that is now a consideration for when we house hunt!
Having used Japanese bidets before, I'm very happy with this bidet. Has all the necessary features one expects from a bidet.
