Description
When life gives you the shaft (or 3 tonnes of shafts)…make a pen! Built from repurposed screwdriver shafts, the Scribedriver is the intersection of sustainability and a premium writing experience.
With an electrical discharge machined logo and discreet detailing, no attention to detail was spared in creating this precision performance pen.
Smooth bolt action provides a satisfying feel and easy activation
Our spring-loaded bolt action allows this elegant pen to double as the perfect fidget toy that you can sneak into even the stuffiest meetings.
Built with repurposed LTT screwdriver shafts from our original launch run, you can expect the same premium quality as our tools
In the spirit of sustainability, we machined down screwdriver shafts we couldn’t use and turned them into a writing tool with a high quality feel and finish.
Comfortable and grippy knurling
Our knurled finish at the pen’s grip point provides a perpetually comfortable writing experience while outlasting any standard gel or foam-based pen grip. This is a softer knurling than the LTT screwdriver to allow for extended use and comfort.
Compatible with Parker G2 refills
Shipped with a Schmidt EasyFlow 9000 medium (black) pen cartridge inside, we made the Scribedriver easy to refill with a standard format for long-term everyday use.

I received my pen, and I like the fact it uses standard Parker cartridges -- I have been using parker pens for a long time in my professional career, and always found the parker pens a bit to 'standard'. The LTT Scribedriver is very nice visually and I really like the feel of the bolt action mechanism.
However, every time I use it, the thread between the bottom and top part of the pen loosens (I believe this is a manufacturing issue just on my pen - the tolerances on the thread have to be very fine, and I think there is a mismatch between both parts). When retightening, it also seems that the thread 'jumps' and I can never fully tighten the pen.
I have since moved back to using my 'plain old' parker pen instead.
Writes well, feels nice to use, but skinnier than many pens. The slimness doesn't bother me but others have said it puts them off. It's a requirement from the use of screwdriver shafts so I undertand why, but be aware of it before deciding to purchase.
I love the whole concept of this pen as a good up-cycle, bought 2 of these just before black friday to make sure they didn't sell out and i'd never get one.
Maybe my expectations coming from other excellent products on here is unrealistic, but the ink cartridge does not feel great to write with, and especially so as a lefty. For a medium point the tip feels more like a 10 instead of a 7, as i like the friction of a finer point pen a bit better as it's a bit easier to control. In addition, this isn't great for left handed persons as after only writing a half page of notes, my hand is complete black anywhere it came in contact with the page. I am also having issues with the included cartridge not writing at times although that could easily be due to the cold.
In conclusion, this is a super cool product and for those unhappy with the provided cartridge, you go out of your way to provide alternatives. Something like a pen can be super subjective so props for making this super inclusive and well made. I hope to use these for years to come, and am super excited to use these to for note taking for renewing professional certificates as well as a return to school in the new year.
I've purchased three of these pens now and I can't get enough of them. I've given two away as gifts and those new owners love them as well.
The first two pens I purchased arrived perfectly and were so great I had to order another just to make sure that I''d have one in case I lost a couple.
The third pen I purchased arrived missing a spring and o-ring. No big deal I sent a customer service email (on a Friday) and got a reply the following Tuesday saying that a replacement o-ring and screws were on the way! I also didn't read that right the first time. By the time the replacement parts arrived in the mail I had finally re-read the email and noticed the error.
I emailed them back and mentioned still needing the spring. Instead of having me send them the old pen back they decided to send me a new (fully-functioning) pen in the mail instead.
I am very satisfied with both my customer service experience and the Scribedrivers!
Nice pen with good weight. The bolt action is smooth and easy to do with one finger.
