Description
Sometimes great things do come in small packages! The LTT Stubby Screwdriver shares many of the same amazing features of the full-sized LTT Screwdriver in a much smaller format to make daily carrying easier than ever before. Thanks to the 4" length, you can even bring it on planes in the US & Canada!
The short stainless steel shaft features the same aggressive diamond knurling found on our full-sized driver, with a strong broach magnet to ensure your screws & bits stay in place. The internal bit storage has space for up to 6 20mm "shorty" bits, and our included bit set features the daily carry that we believe will suit you best - PH0, PH1, PH 2, SL4, SL6, and our popular magnet bit.
The ratchet is based on Megapro's long-standing & reliable design, but has been significantly modified to suit our needs. We reversed the ratchet direction (right for clockwise, left for anti-clockwise), adjusted the spring for lighter back-force which allows you to ratchet-drive even very small screws, and optimized for smoothness and quiet function. We've also significantly shortened the internal spline on the ratchet to fit the short format on the Stubby Screwdriver. It's rated for operation of up to 170 inch-pounds (20Nm) of torque. Due to its smaller size, the Stubby's ratchet may feel slightly different than your standard LTT Screwdriver, but it packs the same high performance in a much smaller footprint!
All external plastics are Triax 1120 - a Nylon and ABS polymer which is great for injection molding parts like ours - for its overall durability and chemical resistance.
Internal plastics in our ratchet are made from Delrin for its self-lubricating properties, and our ratchet housing is made from Zinc.
Our industrial-looking black phosphate-coated S2 steel bits are durable and rust resistant. (NOTE: Bits are a consumable item and will wear or break down over time. Visual wear to the black phosphate coating is normal and expected.)

When I am on a machine, I use hundreds of tools I might need or want to use, and the stubby rolls 90% of my allen wrench needs into a single tool which I love. Feels good, performs exactly how I want it to and it feels great in my hand
It's the traditional LLT Screwdriver but stubby. That is all the praise in the world. Amazing product.
My only thought is you typically only use a stubby for hard to reach areas and you have less leverage. Some sort of rubberised grip could be beneficial for higher torque requirements in the kind of spaces you need to being the stubby out
That being said I'm yet to have met that need.
This little screwdriver is always with me, in my backpack. The quality is amazing. I Love it.
Drives screws better then linus drives the Wan show.
The texture of the plastic on the stubby screwdriver seems to be smoother than the larger screwdriver and effects the ability to grip it. Since this screwdriver requires more a fingertip grip more often than not, it's a little upsetting that it comes off silkier than the older screwdrivers texture. I tend to lose grip on it more than the larger version despite using the same finger placement and
It might be that the tooling was cleaner made, or just less worn in, but it seems I'll need to take a bit of sandpaper to the body to rough up the texture a bit for more grip. It's just a tad too smooth for a non-palm grip, and that defeats the purpose of a short/stubby screwdriver.
As for the shaft, i personally think it's a few millimeters too short and it's unusable as a grip point at all. Just a bit more length, even if un-knurled, would make a huge difference without interfering much with the work height.
It's a personal opinion on the design as I see it as lacking in that function. Without either a longer bit to make up for the length or a shaft added on, it's a worthless bit of knurling, which means a waste of money and machine time.
