Description

Our ratcheting multi-bit screwdriver features a knurled stainless steel shaft with a strong embedded magnet, internal storage for 12 "shorty" 20mm bits (or 6 full-sized bits), an in-house designed three-lobe handle for comfort and ergonomics, and a tastefully-embossed LTT logo on the end cap.

The ratchet is based on Megapro's long-standing & reliable design, but has been significantly modified to suit our needs. We reversed the ratchet direction (right for clockwise, left for anti-clockwise), adjusted the spring for lighter back-force which allows you to ratchet-drive even very small screws, and optimized for smoothness and quiet function. It's rated for operation of up to 220 inch-pounds of force.

Our bit storage is another collaboration with Megapro. We utilized their patented bit clip storage design, but adjusted the length of the clips & the size of the total cavity to allow for our smaller, more ergonomic handle.

All external plastics are Triax 1120 - a Nylon and ABS polymer which is great for injection molding parts like ours - for its overall durability and chemical resistance. The only exception is the black "accent ring" on the all black versions, which are made from machined Delrin, and the orange "accent ring" on the black & orange version, which are made from injection molded ABS.

Internal plastics in our ratchet are also made from Delrin for its self-lubricating properties, and our ratchet housing is made from Zinc.

Our industrial-looking black phosphate-coated S2 steel bits are durable and rust resistant.

Standard bit set included with the screwdriver: PH0, PH1, PH2, H2, H2.5, H4, SL2, SL4, SL6, SQ1, SQ2, and our 5x5 Magnet bit (affectionately named "The Screw Retriever") (This was previously listed as a 6x6 magnet bit, but that was incorrect. The size is 5x5mm)

NOTE: Bits are a consumable item and will wear or break down over time. Visual wear to the black phosphate coating is normal and expected.

Other bit sets are available for purchase at https://www.lttstore.com/products/bits

Feels even better than expected

I didn’t like the bit storage on even name-brand screwdrivers and was sceptical about this one as well. The workmanship is phenomenal, if I didn’t know it, I wouldn’t know the storage is there. It feels like a high quality, solid screwdriver, so no wonky feel or rattling from the bit storage. The knurling feels nice and is definitely a plus, the handle is shaped so well, just gripping it is a joy. The plastic is smooth to the touch, but not rubberized or coated, something I didn’t really have an opinion on before, but welcome the decision now that I have it in hand. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth, I think I counted like 23 clicks per turn, very low force required.
I have the retro color, so the greyish-white with purple, I don’t know why but that color combo is the best of all the ones I’ve seen.
Here are some things for your consideration that don’t warrant a reduction from the 5 star rating in any way, as well as suggestions for the LTT Team:
The magnet within the shaft is strong. Whereas initially I thought the magnetic bit was a good idea, I fail to see its use day-to-day. The shaft is either not long enough for deep crevasse screw rescue missions, or the magnetism through a regular bit is strong enough. The standard bit selection for Europeans (or even non-Canadians) is ok, but the two Roberts (Square) bits probably won’t see any use. Maybe in the future LTT could offer the screwdrivers without any bits included in the box but you get to add one of the sets for free. The shaft is not really thick, and I don’t know if it would be feasible to slim it down more, but you can’t e.g thread it through the cutouts in a Noctua cooler to tighten it down, just barely. But that might impact the ruggedness too much.
70 bucks even for a high quality screwdriver isn’t cheap by any means, but if you appreciate the level of R&D that has gone into it, and do want to support LTT along the way, I think it’s a fair price to pay.

Great so far with one slight worry

(i bought the retro color screwdriver)
I built my new pc and some furniture with it (rip my wrist) and the screwdriver has worked amazingly so far, my only worry is the bits, the black coating almost immediately started rubbing off and there's even little flecks of it I saw that i had to make sure didn't get into my pc build.
Purely screwdriver wise it feels durable enough, not gonna purposely drop it to test that though, the ratchet feels great and works even with very little resistance. The bit storage is very nice, the magnet is great and the overall hand feel is good too. The screwdriver itself would be a 5 but the included bits have me worried, hopefully its non conductive.
